LDV Delivers Affordable Campervan Alternative Under $100k

For Australians seeking freedom on the road, LDV has introduced a new option. The brand has unveiled a campervan version of the Deliver 9, priced at $89,990 drive-away, making it one of the most affordable factory-built campervans available in the country.

According to a news article by news.com.au, this undercuts competitors such as the Volkswagen Crafter Kampervan, which starts at $157,990.

“Campervans have grown in popularity over the past decade as an increasing number of Australians choose to explore the great outdoors on their own terms, their own timetable – and in their own vehicle,” said the General Manager of LDV Australia, Dinesh Chinnappa.

“This factory-built campervan is decked out with everything you need for a getaway – ready to go, straight off the showroom floor. We believe the LDV Deliver 9 campervan will help expand an emerging market segment,” Dinesh added.

The new model is based on the brand’s long-wheelbase, high-roof Deliver 9 van, measuring 5940mm in length and 2466mm in width, creating ample space for travel and living.

Inside, the campervan includes practical amenities such as a kitchen sink, a 96-litre fridge with freezer, a microwave, induction cooktop, toilet, and two showers—one inside and one outside.

Both front seats swivel to face the living space, and a foldaway dining table makes meals easy to share.

A double bed can be set up in less than a minute, and outdoor comfort is supported by a retractable awning, electric step, and sliding fly screens.

To ensure comfort on the road or at campgrounds, the roof-mounted air conditioning system can be powered by 240V mains outlets when connected at caravan parks.

When main power isn’t available, the van is self-sufficient with a 2.56 kWh lithium battery and 190kW solar panel.

Water supply is managed with a 100-litre tank, complemented by a 100-litre grey water tank and a 16-litre toilet tank.

Performance comes from a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 108kW and 375Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Deliver 9 campervan also includes an 80-litre fuel tank and a 2800kg towing capacity, making it suitable for hauling extra gear or a trailer.

The first units arriving in October will seat four, and LDV is offering a three-year warranty, with separate coverage for camper gear and electrics.

The Deliver 9 campervan represents a significant step in the growing market for factory-built adventure vans.

As more Australians choose road travel as a way to experience the outdoors and maintain flexibility, affordable and fully equipped models like this one are set to play a major role in shaping the future of outdoor recreation.
