The RV industry is witnessing a change in the form of composite caravans. A new entrant in the Australian luxury composite off-road caravan category, Evolve RV, is making waves with its innovative designs and advanced construction methods.
The company’s full composite range is currently sold at retail outlets in Victoria and Western Australia, with Wendouree, Victorian dealer BMG Caravans displaying six of the striking white and black Evolve RV off-road vans.
Evolve RV’s caravans are built on ARV chassis with either Alpha or Cruisemaster independent coil or airbag suspensions. The locally-sourced fibreglass sandwich panels for the sides, roof, and floor are protected by some Raptor side body protection along with a Raven coating for the front toolboxes.
These caravans come well equipped with an anti-sway stability control unit, electric awning, and powered steps, together with off-grid power systems with up to 300Ah lithium batteries and 570W rooftop solar power, according to the manufacturer’s website.
The interiors of these caravans are equally impressive. They come with top-end components including a Dometic security door and electrics from the BMPRO and Enerdrive ranges, along with twin 4kg gas bottles and 160L fresh and 95L grey water tanks.
Standard appliances include a 188L compressor fridge freezer in the fully equipped internal kitchen, and a 24in Smart TV and Fusion stereo, with a cassette toilet and extra-large shower cubicle for the ensuite.
The interior layouts boast the latest decor including hidden cabinetry handles, black tapware, diamond double stitched upholstery, and pillowtop mattresses. This attention to detail and focus on luxury make these caravans a top choice for those seeking a premium off-road and long-range touring experience.
The business was started by industry veteran John Morris, who previously worked in management roles at Essential Caravans and Royal Flair Caravans before deciding to head out on his own. His experience and knowledge of the industry have been instrumental in the success of Evolve RV.
Interestingly, Evolve RV is also going against convention by setting up its factory in the bushy Kinglake area, around 50km north-east of Melbourne’s busy industrial suburbs of Epping, Somerton, and Campbellfield where the majority of Australia’s caravan and chassis manufacturers are located.
This unique location choice reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and breaking away from the norm.
The advent of composite caravans like those produced by Evolve RV represents a significant shift in the RV industry. They offer numerous advantages over traditional caravans, including improved insulation, reduced weight, and increased durability.
These benefits make them an attractive option for those seeking a high-quality, long-lasting caravan for their off-road adventures.
The introduction of Evolve RV’s composite caravans is a game-changer for the RV industry. Their innovative design, advanced construction methods, and focus on luxury set them apart from other caravans on the market.
As more consumers become aware of the benefits of composite caravans, it’s likely that we’ll see more manufacturers following in Evolve RV’s footsteps.
