German EV start-up Electric Brands revealed its latest range of battery-powered vehicles, the Xbus, including a compact Kombi-style motorhome.
Previously marketed as eBussy, the company manufactured the new Xbus range on a modular platform for small pure-electric vehicles. It comes in a range of RV bodies like a regular minivan, delivery van, tipper truck, a pick-up, chassis cab, and campervan, according to a report.
Electric Brands said the “cute” pop-top camper is powered by “electronically controlled four-wheel-drive recuperating electric motors (with) and an output of 1000 (plus) Nm torque.”

The standard 10kWh battery delivers a range of around 200km. However, it can be expanded to 30kWh with optional exchangeable batteries to boost the range to 600km. The 3945mm long by 1690mm wide camper has a GVM of 1600kg to deliver a payload of around 800kg.
The Xbus also has flexible solar panels covering the roof, including the rear pop-top section, with the rear tailgate opening and a rear compartment sliding out to expand the living area.
Interior access is also provided by conventional driver and passenger front doors and a side rear-hinging ‘suicide’ door.
Most of the living space is occupied by a 210cm x 130cm sleeping area, but there’s a small kitchenette behind the front seats, including a fridge, single burner cooker, fresh water tank, and sink.
The Xbus camper will be offered in a range of bright exterior colors and priced at around AUD$44,500. First European-market deliveries of the German-built EV camper are expected to take place in 2023.
