App My Community Expands into Australia and New Zealand Market

App My Community, a U.S.-based developer of custom-branded mobile applications for parks and resorts, has expanded its services to Australia and New Zealand. 

The move follows a series of engagements across both countries designed to introduce the platform and gather insights from local outdoor hospitality operators.

The expansion efforts began in May, when company representatives participated in two major industry events in Australia. 

These included conferences hosted by the Caravan Parks Association of Queensland (CPAQ) and the Caravan Industry Association of Australia (CIAA).

In July, the company continued its outreach by exhibiting at a third industry event in New Zealand, hosted by Holiday Parks New Zealand (HPNZ).

“We’re excited to introduce App My Community to Australia and New Zealand,” said Joe Duemig, CEO and founder. 

“We had the privilege of exhibiting at two major conferences in Australia in May and are showcasing our app at a third conference in New Zealand in July. A special thank you to CPAQ, CIAA, and HPNZ for their warm welcome to the Outdoor Hospitality space.”

App My Community not only exhibited at the conferences but also led educational sessions highlighting current U.S. outdoor hospitality trends. 

The company further supported the events by developing customized mobile applications for conference attendees, demonstrating the platform’s ability to streamline event management and enhance guest communication.

To better understand the unique needs of operators in the region, Chief Marketing Officer Bobby Sorden undertook a multi-week tour of holiday and caravan parks across both countries. 

Beginning in Brisbane, Australia, Sorden traveled more than 1,000 miles along the Gold Coast, visiting over 90 parks. His family joined him for the second leg of the journey, which included another 750 miles across New Zealand’s South Island and visits to more than 30 parks.

“It was an unforgettable trip full of fun, family time, and eye-opening insights into the outdoor hospitality scene in both countries,” said Sorden. 

His travels provided firsthand knowledge of the market, which the company is using to refine its services to better serve regional park operators.

The app offers several features designed to improve guest experiences and operational efficiency. These include real-time communication for updates on events and services, promotional tools to increase participation in local and on-site activities, and options for revenue generation through in-app bookings and sales. 

The platform is also customizable, allowing park operators to align the app with their branding and operational needs.

“Our goal is to offer caravan and resort operators a powerful tool to improve guest experiences, streamline operations, and increase revenue,” said Duemig. 

“By offering a mobile solution that’s fully customizable, we’re able to help parks in Australia and New Zealand stay connected to their guests and provide them with an exceptional outdoor hospitality experience.”

App My Community already serves clients throughout the United States and Canada and is positioning its expansion into Australia and New Zealand as a strategic step in supporting the global growth of the outdoor hospitality sector.
