Caravan Hatta, a new project by the hospitality brand Our Habitas, is scheduled to open in December as the company’s first development in the UAE. The project will introduce 50 Airstream trailers in Hatta, a mountain and lakeside region that has become a popular destination for residents seeking nature-focused leisure experiences.
The brand currently operates caravan-based glamping accommodations in locations including AlUla, Saudi Arabia, and is expanding its portfolio with the addition of Hatta.
The trailers at Caravan Hatta will be positioned with views of either the Hajar Mountains or Hatta Dam. According to the company, the interiors will use locally sourced materials and organic textiles to align the accommodation with its natural surroundings.
The design approach follows a broader industry trend in the Gulf region toward low-impact, modular hospitality offerings that can be installed with limited disruption to remote environments.
Amenities for guests will center around The Lake House, which the operator describes as the primary communal space.
Plans for the area include an infinity pool, creative workshops based on local traditions, and wellness-focused facilities such as hot and cold therapy areas, a barrel sauna, outdoor cold plunge, hot tub, and guided sessions in yoga, meditation, and sound healing.
Outdoor recreation will also form a significant part of the guest experience, with activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and stargazing offered at the site.
Food service will be provided through a cluster of food trucks and live barbecue stations in an open-air setting. According to What’s On, bookings have not yet opened, and rates have not been announced.
For operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, Caravan Hatta reflects the growing investment in high-design mobile accommodations—including Airstream-style units—in desert and mountain destinations.
The development provides a case study in how international brands are entering the Middle East’s outdoor accommodation market with projects that emphasize modular construction, experience-led programming, and diversified revenue streams built around wellness, workshops, and adventure activities.
These trends may offer insights for private campground and glamping owners looking to expand or reposition their own offerings in response to rising demand for structured nature experiences in warm-weather regions.
