This fall, Russians are increasingly choosing glamping sites in Kislovodsk and Vladimir, according to analysts from the travel planning service OneTwoTrip.
The company’s recent findings, shared with RIA Novosti on October 8, show a growing preference for glamping—a blend of glamour and camping that combines hotel-level comfort with access to nature.
OneTwoTrip reported that in Kislovodsk, 18.5 percent of all hotel bookings this fall are for glamping sites, with demand rising more than fourfold compared to last year. Vladimir follows with 11.1 percent of bookings.
“This fall, accommodation facilities offering modular houses, dome spheres and luxury tents are most often booked in Kislovodsk (18.5% of all hotel bookings in the city, and over the year the demand has increased by more than 4 times)… Glampings are also popular in Vladimir (11.1%),” OneTwoTrip told RIA Novosti.
According to Finance Mail, the average cost of a glamping stay in Kislovodsk is around 6,000 rubles per night, while in Vladimir it reaches nearly 16,000 rubles.
Other popular destinations for glamping include Sortavala in Karelia, which accounts for 7.5 percent of bookings and averages 10,500 rubles per night; Arkhyz, with 7.4 percent and an average of 4,900 rubles; and Yantarny in the Kaliningrad region, with 3.7 percent and an average of 22,600 rubles per night.
Analysts noted a shift in traveler preferences compared to last year, when glamping demand was higher in mountainous regions such as Krasnaya Polyana, Gunib in Dagestan, and Ust-Muny in Altai. Other areas that saw interest included Orekhovo-Zuyevo, Istra, Zheleznovodsk, and Tula.
For outdoor hospitality professionals, this data highlights a continued expansion of Russia’s glamping market into urban and regional leisure destinations.
The growing demand for modular accommodations and luxury tent experiences suggests opportunities for developers and operators to explore mid-range to premium offerings in regions with established tourism infrastructure.
The trend also signals consumer interest in comfortable, nature-based getaways that blend local experiences with upscale amenities—an insight valuable for businesses assessing potential markets and pricing strategies.
