Gopeng Glamping Park (GGP), a camping destination located in Gopeng, Malaysia, has received the SIRIM ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management Systems under the scope of “Provision of Glamour Camping Resort.”
The certification, announced in April 2025, reflects GGP’s efforts to standardize and improve the quality of its operations in line with internationally recognized management practices.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is widely recognized as a benchmark for quality management, focusing on operational consistency, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement.
By securing this accreditation, GGP has demonstrated its commitment to implementing procedures that support sustainable growth and reliable service delivery.
In a statement issued by the company, GGP acknowledged the role of SIRIM, Malaysia’s national organization for standards and quality, in facilitating the certification process.
“We extend our deepest appreciation to SIRIM for their dedication and guidance throughout the audit process and strict evaluations required to achieve this level of standard,” the statement read.
According to Ipoh Echo, GGP also credited Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and its Resort Entrepreneur Program (PURE) for their support in the form of initiatives and certification grant assistance.
“We also value the support from the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) through the Resort Entrepreneur Program (PURE), whose initiatives and certification grant assistance have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of our services,” the statement continued.
This certification follows an earlier recognition in 2023 when GGP received the MS 2610:2015 certification for Muslim Friendly Hospitality Services.
This included standards related to glamour camping tents, food and beverage offerings, and recreational and adventure activities. At that time, GGP became the third glamping site globally under the “Glamour Camping Tents” category to obtain this certification.
For outdoor hospitality business owners, these achievements illustrate the value of aligning operations with international quality and cultural accommodation standards.
Certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 and MS 2610:2015 can support credibility, open new market opportunities, and ensure consistent guest experiences—critical factors in maintaining competitive advantage within a rapidly growing and diversifying tourism sector.
