Glamping B&V Expands With New Nature-Focused Luxury Villas in Nasu

A new luxury villa extension at Glamping B&V in Nasu, Japan, officially opened at the end of May 2025, expanding the resort’s accommodation options with four new villas designed to provide private, nature-immersed stays for families and groups.

The new development marks a significant addition to Glamping B&V’s existing dome-based offerings, which have been operating since Summer 2023.

Each villa is designed to accommodate up to eight guests and features 200m of indoor living space. Drawing from Wa-Modern design principles, the interiors combine modern architectural elements with traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Floor-to-ceiling windows connect the indoor living space to the surrounding natural environment, while the use of tatami flooring, soft lighting, and wooden finishes aims to create a tranquil setting.

Amenities include a 100-inch wall-mounted TV, Simmons beds in two tatami-style bedrooms, and a fully equipped dining area.

Outdoors, each villa includes a private hot spring bath, a sauna with löyly capabilities, and a uniquely designed pool.

A Weber Genesis grill is provided for guests to prepare meals, with course options including Standard BBQ, Premium BBQ, and Shabu-Shabu. These feature local specialties such as Nasu Highland wagyu sirloin, seafood, and seasonal vegetables.

The four villas—Kohaku, Gen, Akatsuki, and Aoi—share core design features but vary in style and personality. Aoi is specifically tailored for pet owners, offering a 100m dog run and dog-friendly amenities, a consideration that reflects the growing demand for pet-inclusive travel experiences.

According to Japan Travel, Glamping B&V originally opened in 2023 with a collection of domed glamping accommodations, each offering private onsen, sauna, and bonfire facilities.

Like the new villas, the domes can host up to eight guests and are situated to take advantage of the forested landscape and river sounds.

The resort’s two facilities now share a reception area that offers guest activities such as wood-chip smoking and popcorn making.

Located a 7-minute drive from Nasu IC or accessible by public transportation with a 30-minute bus ride from Nasu Shiobara Station and a 10-minute walk from Tashiroyuai Bus Stop, the site is positioned about 1 hour and 10 minutes from both Tokyo and Sendai via the Tohoku Shinkansen.

For owners and operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, Glamping B&V’s expansion presents an example of how diversified accommodations—particularly private villas with spa-style features—can enhance guest experience while encouraging longer stays.

The attention to group travel, pet-friendly design, and curated food experiences also demonstrates how operators can broaden appeal across a variety of traveler profiles.
