New Glamping and Adventure Facility Planned Under Telangana’s 2025 Tourism Strategy

Telangana announced a series of tourism development agreements at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, outlining more than Rs1,200 crore in planned investments across leisure, wellness and adventure projects.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Tourism and Culture Minister, Jupally Krishna Rao, IT and Industries Principal Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan, and Fortune Hospitality Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Ramakrishna.

Officials said the initiatives are intended to expand the state’s tourism offerings and strengthen its positioning in India’s leisure and experiential travel market.

One of the three agreements involves the development of what officials describe as India’s first artificial beach near Himayatsagar. The project, backed by Spain-based Fluidra in partnership with Damera Infra and CFS Fortune Hospitality, is expected to involve an investment of Rs800 crore.

According to BizzBuzz, the destination will include a sea-like waterbody, entertainment zones and wedding facilities. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the project represents “a pioneering effort” that aligns with the government’s aim to build tourism infrastructure that can “match global standards.”

A second agreement, signed with Maldives-headquartered Atmosphere Core, outlines plans for an international wellness retreat also located near Himayatsagar. With a proposed investment of Rs300 crore, the project is designed to incorporate Ayurveda, naturopathy, therapeutic treatments and contemporary wellness programming.

The state government said the development is intended to position Hyderabad as a destination capable of competing in the global wellness tourism segment.

The third MoU focuses on a luxury glamping and eco-adventure destination in Kotwalguda, to be developed by Lallooji & Sons (LJS). The company, known for large-format tourism and cultural event projects, plans to invest Rs106 crore in high-end tents and cabins paired with trekking, bungee jumping and additional adventure-oriented activities.

For operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, the project reflects growing demand in India for structured glamping facilities and purpose-built adventure infrastructure. Industry stakeholders may find the project notable as it signals increasing state-level support for non-traditional lodging formats that resemble models used in established glamping markets.

According to state representatives, the three agreements collectively surpass Rs1,200 crore and are expected to generate more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs once completed. Officials said the projects are intended to expand tourism capacity while offering new formats of leisure and outdoor accommodation across the region.
