&Beyond has expanded its Botswana Under Canvas portfolio with the launch of two new camps — &Beyond Sandibe Under Canvas and &Beyond Nxabega Under Canvas — marking a significant addition to the company’s presence in the Okavango Delta.
The expansion completes a “seamless seven-night circuit” through some of Botswana’s most renowned wilderness areas, including the recently refurbished &Beyond Chobe Under Canvas. Together, the three properties form a connected journey emphasizing adventure, intimacy, and sustainability.

Located in one of the Okavango’s most wildlife-rich concessions, &Beyond Sandibe Under Canvas offers guests close encounters with the region’s diverse predators, including lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog. The camp provides guests with an immersive experience through guided game drives, walking safaris, and visits to local communities.
Further west, &Beyond Nxabega Under Canvas presents a contrasting side of the Delta, characterized by its tranquil waterways and reed-fringed floodplains. Activities include traditional mokoro excursions, seasonal catch-and-release fishing, and land-based safaris led by experienced guides.
Each camp consists of only three tents, accommodating a maximum of six guests, underscoring &Beyond’s focus on exclusivity and minimal environmental impact. The tents feature super king beds, double showers, standing fans, and running water, combining comfort with simplicity in the heart of the wilderness.

For the first time in the Botswana Under Canvas offering, both new camps provide Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity, powered by an on-site solar plant supported by in-room power packs and vehicle charging stations. This approach balances guest convenience with the brand’s commitment to sustainable operations.
Design elements across both camps draw inspiration from the Okavango Delta’s natural palette. Interiors feature earthy greens, woven fibers, and light wood finishes, creating a harmonious connection between the camp environment and the surrounding landscape.
&Beyond has emphasized its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement through the development of these camps. The company’s partnerships with the neighboring communities of Shorobe, Sexaxa, Gogomoga, and Tsutsubega continue to support local employment, mentorship, and conservation awareness programs.

The initiative aligns with &Beyond’s “Care of Land, Wildlife and People” philosophy, which integrates responsible tourism with sustainable community development. Shared logistics with nearby lodges further minimize the environmental footprint of operations.
“Our new Botswana Under Canvas camps celebrate safari in its purest form,” Riaan Venter, Southern Africa regional manager at &Beyond, said in a press release. “They are intimate, low-impact and deeply connected to place, and the experience is raw, personal and deeply immersive.”
Venter added that Sandibe Under Canvas captures the energy of predator country, while Nxabega Under Canvas reflects the calm of the Delta’s waterways. “Together with Chobe, they reveal the full spectrum of Botswana’s wild beauty,” he said.
The new circuit, titled The Chobe and the Okavango Delta: An Under Canvas Adventure, offers travelers a seven-night itinerary starting at $4,840 per person sharing. The experience caters to families, couples, and small groups seeking seclusion and comfort in Botswana’s natural landscapes.
