Glamping Adventures is set to host Africa’s first Glamping Expo 2024 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre on October 28-29. This event seeks to connect businesses throughout the glamping value chain, providing a platform for participants to display their innovations, network with peers, and explore collaboration opportunities.
Attendees will also benefit from essential market insights and research intelligence that can improve their operational strategies.
The expo will highlight various aspects of the glamping industry, featuring premier products, establishments, and service providers. The attractions will include eco-pods and newly upgraded glamping destinations such as the Babanango Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal and Mopane Bush Lodge.
According to an article published by Daily Southern & Eastern Tourism Update, Gugu Sithole, CEO of Glamping Adventures and the expo’s founder, explained that over 20 exhibitors have already signed on, with additional interest from other businesses. “This event provides a comprehensive platform for showcasing innovations across the glamping value chain,” Sithole stated.
The Glamping Expo will showcase a variety of glamping professionals, suppliers of glamping products, service providers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies. The panel discussions also aim to shape and outline the future of the rapidly evolving glamping industry.
The expo will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, including Jillian Blackbeard, CEO of Africa’s Eden Tourism Association; Sisa Ntshona, chairman of ParkBookings.Com and a veteran destination marketer; Faith Meyer, founder of the geodesic dome company Geodesic Forests, and many more. Additionally, representatives from the Industrial Development Corporation and several banks will be present to share their insights.
According to its website, the Glamping Expo will showcase various seminar programs that address critical issues in the glamping sector. Sessions include “Green Dreams,” focusing on pioneering eco-friendly innovations in glamping, and “Tech Under the Stars,” which explores how innovative technologies are helping the industry.
Additionally, “Industry Trends & Intelligence” will unpack the latest trends shaping the glamping landscape, while “On The Money” will present standout investment ideas. Other discussions will include “Walking on the Cliff Edge,” which examines the balance between experiential innovations and risk, and “Investor Perspective,” which offers insights into the glamping phenomenon.
