Care Camps Foundation to Host Sept. 9 Fundraising Webinar for Campgrounds

The Care Camps Foundation will host a webinar Sept. 9 to outline its September fundraising campaign and competition, providing campgrounds with fundraising ideas and tools to engage campers and raise money for the organization.

The webinar is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will feature Jenna Berneck, Care Camps’ director of development. Berneck will discuss the September campaign and competition, including creative fundraising ideas and tools campgrounds can use to involve guests in fundraising efforts.

The session is intended for campgrounds that have participated in the September campaign previously as well as those seeking new ways to engage campers in supporting Care Camps.

Berneck is scheduled to become executive director of the Care Camps Foundation on Oct. 1, succeeding Wynne Sullivan, who is retiring. Berneck currently serves as director of development.

The webinar follows the 2025 PCOA Convention, where Berneck met with members of the campground community, according to the announcement from PCOA.

Seven campgrounds were identified as already registered for the September fundraising campaign: Camp-A-While Campground, Driftstone Campground, Hemlock Campground of Potter County, Mountain Vista Campground, Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park, Shady Grove Campground and Twin Bridge Campground.

The campaign is focused on giving campgrounds tools and ideas to involve their guests in fundraising for Care Camps, according to the announcement.

“Whether you’ve participated in the September campaign before or are looking for some fresh ideas, this webinar will give you plenty of ways to get your campers involved and support a great cause!” the announcement indicates.
