Unhitched Management has assumed management of Jetstream RV Resort at Wharton, a 154-site RV community in Wharton, Texas, with the company taking responsibility for day-to-day operations, guest services and property enhancements.
The resort, located at 2601 N. Richmond Road, offers full-hookup RV sites with electric, water and sewer connections and accommodates rigs of all sizes.
Its initial focus will include improvements to curb appeal, common areas and guest communications, followed by longer-term upgrades to amenities, landscaping and community programming.
According to a press release, Robert Preston, CEO of Unhitched RV, said the management company plans to maintain the community established at the property.
“Wharton is all about belonging — a friendly, family-first place where guests feel at home the moment they pull in, whether they’re passing through, wintering in Texas, or putting down roots,” Preston said. “Jetstream RV Resort at Wharton has built a wonderful community halfway between Houston and the Gulf Coast, and we’re honored to carry that forward.”
Dave Willner, COO of Unhitched Management, said the company’s onsite team has contributed to higher occupancy at the resort.
“Finding the right team at Jetstream Wharton made all the difference,” Willner said. “In just a few months, occupancy jumped from the 20%s to the high 60%s, and they’ve already earned multiple local awards while helping us refocus on what matters most: clean, friendly, safe and connected communities for every guest.”
The resort includes a swimming pool, 24/7 fitness center, 24/7 laundry facilities and four bathhouses. Its common areas feature a courtyard with two grills and an outdoor sink, as well as a playground, family-friendly games and a fire pit.
Unhitched Management said it will apply operational practices from its portfolio of RV properties, including systems for maintenance, reservation management and guest satisfaction.
Jetstream RV Resort at Wharton is positioned along U.S. Highway 59 in Wharton County, with access to the Houston metropolitan area and the Texas Gulf Coast.
The property is also near Matagorda Bay and Galveston, while the Colorado River runs through the county.
