Campground Owners of New York (CONY) and Camp New York announced the finalists for the 2026 Best of Camp New York Awards, with public voting open through Sept. 7 across 14 campground categories.
The awards recognize New York campgrounds based on amenities, scenery, accommodations, recreation, hospitality and overall camping experience. Campers, RV travelers, families and outdoor enthusiasts can vote for their preferred finalists through the Camp New York website.
The Best Overall Small Campground category, covering properties with one to 125 sites, includes West Canada Creek Campground, Campers Haven, Camp Bell Campground, Twisted Creek Campground, Brook N Wood Family Campground, Whispering Pines Campsites & RV Park and Rustic Woods Campground.
The Best Overall Mid-Sized Campground category, for properties with 126 to 225 sites, features Seneca Lake Resorts, Lazy Days RV Resort, Pine Ridge Park Campsite, Red’s Twilight on the Erie RV Resort, Spacious Skies Woodland Hills, Dream Lake Campground, Red Rock Ponds RV Resort and Lake George Riverview Campground.
Six campgrounds are finalists for Best Overall Large Campground, which recognizes properties with 226 or more sites: Hickory Hill Camping Resort, Catskill Mountains Gilboa KOA, Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground, Lake George RV Park, Adventure Bound Deer Run and Old Forge Camping Resort.
Additional categories cover specific camping experiences, including Best New Campground, Best Scenic Views, Best Campground Amenities, Best Glamping Accommodations, Best Tent Sites, Best RV Sites and Best Family-Friendly Campground.
The awards also include categories for Best Pet-Friendly Campground, Best Water Recreation, Best Campground Community Atmosphere and Best Campground for Long-Term/Full Season Stay.
Among the finalists, several campgrounds appear in multiple categories. Camp Bell Campground, Brook N Wood Family Campground, Rustic Woods Campground, Seneca Lake Resorts, Red’s Twilight on the Erie RV Resort and Lake George RV Park are each finalists in at least two categories.
