The RV Industry Association (RVIA) has finalized the slate of candidates for its 2027 Board of Directors election, with seven candidates competing for three open seats that will help shape the association’s strategic direction and policy priorities.
The Board of Directors serves as the highest governing authority within the association and is responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policies related to standards, marketing, government affairs, industry education, statistical data and association finances.
Voting will take place from Aug. 24 through Sept. 14, when member companies will elect one representative each for an RV manufacturer seat, a Park Model RV manufacturer seat and a supplier seat.
Election results are expected to be announced near the end of September, with newly elected board members beginning three-year terms on Jan. 1, 2027.
Two candidates are seeking the RV manufacturer seat: Ashley Bontrager Lehman of Ember Recreational Vehicles Inc. and Greg Wallman of Space Craft MFG.
The Park Model RV manufacturer seat will be contested by Trevor Kropf of Kropf Industries Inc. and John Tuyo of Champion Homes.
Three candidates are running for the supplier seat: Mike Cheney of Valto Engineered Materials, Mark Howlett of Truma North America and Heather Jenks of Genesis Products.
Each RV Industry Association member company is permitted one vote, which must be cast by the company’s official representative.
According to the association, additional information outlining the voting process and election procedures will be distributed to members in the coming weeks ahead of the voting period.
The annual board election determines leadership representation across key segments of the RV industry, with the three available positions representing RV manufacturers, Park Model RV manufacturers and suppliers.
Board members elected through this year’s process will serve through the end of 2029 as part of their three-year terms.
The RV Industry Association said the Board of Directors oversees organizational strategy and governance across a range of industry initiatives, including standards development, marketing programs, government affairs, education, statistical reporting and financial oversight.
