Dromquinna Manor in Kenmare, County Kerry, has confirmed that its seasonal glamping operation will return in 2027, with bookings expected to open online in February after existing wedding clients are given priority access to accommodations.
The 65-acre waterfront estate, owned and operated by John Brennan, his wife Gwen Brennan, and their son Adam, said demand for its glamping accommodations remains strong despite the seasonal nature of the offering. The property dismantles its safari tents at the end of each August before reopening the following season.
A spokesperson for Dromquinna Manor said the business continues to experience consistent interest from guests.
“Our Glamping is still here and as busy as ever. It is seasonal so we’ll disassemble the tents at the end of August, and 2027 availability will be released online in February as we give first refusal for accommodation bookings to wedding couples.”
The update provides prospective visitors with a timeline for planning future stays while highlighting the property’s strategy of prioritizing wedding-related accommodations before opening remaining inventory to the general public. The approach reflects a common operational model among destination hospitality businesses that balance leisure travel with event-based revenue streams.
Located on Kenmare Bay, Dromquinna Manor offers several accommodation types, including 15 luxury safari tents, The Hideaway, and its Potting Sheds. The estate combines outdoor accommodations with on-site hospitality amenities, including dining options, waterfront access, and recreational activities.
The luxury tents were custom designed for Dromquinna Manor by safari tent specialists in India and feature permanent-style furnishings, king-size beds, antique furniture, and Voya toiletries.
Family tents include a separate bedroom with two single beds designed for children up to 16 years old, while The Hideaway offers a more secluded accommodation option with private gardens, a veranda overlooking the bay, and access to the nearby Victorian Ladies bathing cove.
Guests staying at the property also have access to breakfast basket delivery, on-site dining at venues including The Boathouse and the Pavilion BBQ, boating facilities, and outdoor spaces overlooking Kenmare Bay.
According to Evoke, current published rates begin at €195 per night for a couple’s luxury tent, €240 per night for a family tent, and €350 for the first night in The Hideaway, with additional nights priced at €250.
For outdoor hospitality professionals, Dromquinna Manor illustrates how seasonal glamping businesses can manage demand by aligning accommodation inventory with higher-value segments such as weddings and events. By releasing availability only after honoring event-related bookings, operators can maximize occupancy while maintaining flexibility for leisure travelers.
The property’s combination of multiple accommodation formats, premium guest amenities, and waterfront experiences also reflects an ongoing industry trend toward experiential outdoor stays that appeal to both couples and families, helping diversify revenue opportunities throughout the operating season.
