RV Industry Association Opens Registration for 2026 Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar

Registration is open through July 24 for the RV Industry Association‘s (RVIA) 2026 Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar, a complimentary members-only event that will focus on regulatory compliance, product safety, recall management and emerging issues affecting the recreational vehicle industry.

The seminar is scheduled for July 29 from 8 a.m. to noon Eastern at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, Indiana. The event is intended for RVIA members, particularly professionals with compliance or safety responsibilities, as well as those seeking to better understand regulatory requirements and recall processes.

The program will open with a keynote presentation by Will Godfrey, director of mobility, automation and safety at Thompson Hine LLP.

The keynote will be followed by panel discussions featuring compliance and safety professionals from across the RV industry.

Topics on the agenda include identifying safety issues, sustaining a safety culture, collaborating with dealers on recall management and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in regulatory and safety compliance.

Attendees will also have opportunities to ask questions and participate in discussions during the event.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on July 7, the seminar’s panelists and moderators include Mike Becker, head of compliance at Forest River; Dennis Carl, NHTSA and quality leader at Brinkley RV; Troy Cornell, director of product safety and compliance at Winnebago Industries; David Mihalick, vice president of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance at THOR Industries; Von Lindsey, owner of Lindsey Research Services; David Stevenson, quality team leader at ATC Trailers; Pamela VanderMel, vice president of warranty at Lippert; and Nick Woolsey, Ph.D., scientist at Exponent.

The seminar is being offered at no cost to RVIA members through sponsorship support from Winnebago Industries, Forest River Inc., THOR Industries, Lippert, Dometic, Dexter and Thompson Hine LLP.

The association is also seeking additional event sponsors. Individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities or with general questions about the seminar may contact Kyle Correa-Brady at the RVIA.

Registration for the members-only seminar will remain open until July 24. The event will take place at the Lerner Theatre, located at 410 S. Main St. in Elkhart, Indiana.
