Go RVing is expanding its RV-2-50 initiative with new curated itineraries designed to promote RV travel across the United States in alignment with major upcoming cultural milestones, including America’s 250th anniversary, the 100th anniversary of Route 66, and a major international soccer tournament.
The initiative is positioned as a coordinated effort to highlight RV travel as a primary way to experience destinations across the country, while linking road trip promotion to nationally significant events expected to draw widespread public attention.
The campaign continues to frame RV travel as a method for accessing a range of attractions, including local landmarks, lesser-known destinations, family-oriented activities, and RV-friendly lodging options.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the latest additions to the RV-2-50 content include two newly published itineraries: “Show Me Around the Show-Me State” and “Where the Great Lakes Offer Great Fun: Erie, Pennsylvania.”
Both itineraries were developed through collaborations with Destination Marketing Organizations, state campground associations, and individual campgrounds, according to the release material.
The collaborative model is central to the RV-2-50 initiative, which relies on partnerships with regional tourism groups and campground operators to curate travel routes that emphasize regional experiences and travel accessibility for RV users.
The itineraries are presented as structured road trip guides intended to encourage multi-stop travel and extended stays across participating destinations.
The RV-2-50 is a broader opportunity for the RV and campground industries to strengthen visibility during a year defined by multiple large-scale commemorations. The initiative is also framed as a mechanism for reinforcing the economic and tourism impact of RV travel within broader national travel conversations tied to anniversary and sporting events.
The organization is encouraging industry participants to engage with the initiative through a provided RV-2-50 toolkit that includes suggested social media content, email newsletter language, and promotional graphics.
Stakeholders are also being asked to share Go RVing’s itineraries through owned channels, pitch them to local and regional media outlets, and contribute future itinerary ideas for consideration.
