RV Industry Prepares for National Go RVing Day on June 13

With one month remaining before National Go RVing Day on June 13, the RV industry is being encouraged to coordinate marketing and promotional efforts tied to the annual consumer awareness campaign and the broader RV-2-50 initiative connected to America’s upcoming 250th anniversary in 2026.

In a message distributed to industry stakeholders, organizers said the campaign presents an opportunity for RV manufacturers, dealers, campgrounds, and tourism businesses to increase consumer engagement around RV travel during the summer travel season.

The 2026 edition of National Go RVing Day is also being positioned alongside RV-2-50, an industry effort encouraging travelers to explore destinations across the United States ahead of the nation’s semiquincentennial celebrations.

The initiative encourages companies across the outdoor hospitality and RV sectors to begin promotional activities in advance of June 13 through social media campaigns, newsletters, blogs, and local media outreach.

Businesses are also being asked to encourage consumers to visit dealerships and campgrounds, participate in RV-related travel experiences, and obtain an RV-2-50 Travel Passport tied to the campaign.

To support participation, Go RVing released a National Go RVing Day Toolkit containing marketing materials and promotional resources intended for industry use during the lead-up to the event. Suggested activities include posting content across social media platforms, running promotions or giveaways, and incorporating RV-2-50 themes into seasonal marketing campaigns.

The organization also encouraged businesses to contact local television, radio, print, and digital media outlets to arrange interviews or feature segments connected to National Go RVing Day activities. A webinar focused on pitching local media was also highlighted as a resource for companies seeking additional publicity opportunities.

“As America approaches its 250th birthday, RV-2-50 is inspiring people to explore the country through RV travel, making this year’s National Go RVing Day more than a single celebration—it’s a chance to connect your brand to a larger story about adventure, freedom, and discovering America.”

Industry organizers said coordinated participation across brands and markets can help increase awareness of RV travel among consumers and support broader engagement with the RV lifestyle.

For campground operators, RV park owners, glamping businesses, and dealerships, the campaign may also provide an opportunity to capitalize on early summer travel demand and strengthen regional tourism partnerships.

Businesses that align promotions with national campaigns often benefit from increased online visibility and consumer recognition, particularly when campaigns are amplified across multiple digital platforms.

National Go RVing Day is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13, with promotional activities expected to continue throughout the 2026 travel season as part of the RV-2-50 initiative tied to the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations.
