RVTI 2025 Annual Report Shows Expanded Technician Pipeline Initiatives

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) detailed a year of program expansion and workforce development initiatives in its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting new partnerships with Navarro College and Littleton Public Schools, as well as the introduction of Spanish-language certification materials aimed at addressing ongoing technician demand across the recreational vehicle industry.

The report underscores the institute’s role as the industry-backed training provider focused on building a pipeline of certified RV technicians at a time when demand continues to grow.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the increasing number of first-time RV users, including younger demographics, is contributing to sustained service needs across the sector.

The institute said its mission centers on “training the next generation of RV technicians, elevating the profession, and ensuring the industry has the talent it needs to support its customers,” adding that this goal has become increasingly urgent amid workforce shifts and evolving vehicle technology.

Among its key developments in 2025, the Institute launched a first-of-its-kind RV technician training program in partnership with Navarro College, Fun Town RV, and Lippert. The initiative is designed to expand formal training pathways and align education with industry needs.

The organization also expanded its education model through collaboration with Littleton Public Schools’ EPIC Campus, introducing a high school-level RV technician program. The pilot program is intended to connect students with technical training and certification opportunities tied to in-demand careers.

In addition, the institute introduced Level 1 study guides and certification tests in Spanish. The initiative removes a key language barrier and expands access to certification pathways.

“This initiative addresses the RV industry’s critical demand for more certified technicians, offering a clear pathway for a larger group of individuals to enter and advance within the profession,” the report indicates. “By eliminating a language barrier, the Institute is making the certification process more accessible, which will lead to a more skilled and diverse technician workforce.”

The report also noted broader workforce pressures, including retirements from skilled trades and increasing complexity in RV systems, such as electrical technologies, automation, and off-grid capabilities.

The RVTI described its 2025 initiatives as part of a longer-term effort to “future-proof” the RV industry by ensuring a steady supply of qualified technicians capable of supporting both traditional and emerging RV technologies.
