YWCA North Central Indiana and Safe Haven Shelter have named the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) as their 2026 Community Partner of the Year, recognizing the organization’s leadership within the recreational vehicle industry and its contributions to community-focused initiatives.
The designation underscores the RVWA’s role in supporting programs that benefit women, families, and workforce communities across North Central Indiana. The recognition reflects both the organization’s leadership and the involvement of its members in aligning industry engagement with community support efforts.
According to a News and Insights report by RVIA on April 7, Amy Hill, chief executive officer of YWCA North Central Indiana, said the partnership has strengthened the organization’s ability to deliver services.
“RV Women’s Alliance represents the kind of industry leadership that extends beyond the workplace,” Hill said. “Their commitment to service and partnership has made a meaningful difference in our ability to support individuals and families seeking safety and stability.”
RVWA is a national organization focused on advancing women in the recreational vehicle industry through education, leadership development, and professional networking.
Its selection as Community Partner of the Year highlights the role of industry organizations in collaborating with local service providers.
Susan Carpenter, president of the RVWA, said the recognition reflects shared priorities. “Our members believe strong industries are built alongside strong communities,” Carpenter said. “We are honored to be recognized and proud to support the mission of YWCA North Central Indiana and Safe Haven Shelter.”
The award will be formally presented on May 7, during Safe Haven Shelter’s annual Support Our Shelter Dinner and Auction. The event serves as a primary fundraiser supporting emergency shelter and advocacy services for survivors of domestic abuse.
The annual event brings together business leaders, community partners, and stakeholders to support services aimed at providing safety and stability for individuals and families in the region.
