Hull-based holiday homes manufacturer Willerby has supported the launch of a new Sky television series, The Dyers’ Caravan Park, by providing one of its holiday homes for a media event in central London.
The programme, which premieres on Tuesday, February 24, on the newly relaunched Sky One and streaming service NOW, follows actor and presenter Danny Dyer and his daughter, reality TV personality Dani Dyer, as they attempt to invest in and operate a holiday park.
Willerby partnered with distributor Southern Counties Leisure for a publicity event held in Hyde Park, close to landmarks including Marble Arch and Kensington Palace. A Willerby Gainsborough model was installed in the park to host interviews with national media outlets and digital content creators ahead of the series launch.
The television series centres on the renovation of Priory Hill and Nutts Farm Holiday Park in Leysdown, located on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. The programme documents the Dyers’ efforts to revitalise the site while exploring the commercial realities of operating within what has been described as a £7bn holiday park industry.
The timing of the broadcast, in late February, aligns with a period when consumers are typically planning spring and summer breaks, potentially increasing exposure for caravan and holiday park businesses.
Willerby, which marks its 80th anniversary in 2026, described the collaboration as an opportunity to highlight caravan holidays to a broader and younger audience.
Peter Munk, Willerby CEO, told HullLive: “Southern Counties Leisure are one of our leading distributors, so we’re delighted to have been able to support them as part of this opportunity. Everyone at Willerby is excited about The Dyers’ Caravan Park, as the series will play an important part in promoting caravan holidays, especially to younger audiences.”
“It’s particularly timely to be part of such a great opportunity in 2026, during the year in which Willerby celebrates its 80th anniversary and Southern Counties Leisure marks its 30th. What a fantastic way to celebrate both companies’ major milestones, by helping to generate publicity for a TV series shining a positive light on our industry.”
Amanda Keen, Southern Counties Leisure managing director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to fly the Willerby flag and committed to promoting the brand.
“I always describe Southern Counties Leisure as like a stick of rock, with Willerby running right through our core. We’re delighted to be part of the opportunity to promote this new TV series, which celebrates great British holidays and showcases the true quality that holiday homes offer and the enjoyment they bring to all the family.”
The series is produced by Expectation, whose previous credits include Clarkson’s Farm. For holiday park operators, manufacturers, and distributors, the show represents mainstream exposure at a time of heightened booking activity.
Increased visibility through national broadcast platforms may contribute to renewed consumer interest in caravan ownership, holiday home upgrades, and park investment, particularly among demographics that may not traditionally consider this segment of the accommodation market.
The Dyers’ Caravan Park airs from February 24 on Sky One and NOW.
