House of Highways has introduced HoH+, an AI-powered mobile platform designed for RVers, vanlifers, and nomadic families.
Launched Aug. 11, the app features “Ask Junie,” the first AI assistant trained specifically for nomadic travel, along with RV-friendly GPS routing, trip planning tools, and a database of more than 45,000 U.S. campgrounds. It is available for download on iOS and Google Play.
The platform was developed by Colan and Cristy Lee McGeehan, former media and design professionals who transitioned to full-time RV living.
They built and tested the app during their second year on the road to address the practical challenges of traveling in recreational vehicles.
The company is backed by Court Coursey, managing partner of TomorrowVentures, and The Tomorrow Collective. The founders say HoH+ fills a gap in the $140 billion RV market, which serves 45 million travelers annually and includes 15 million RV owners.
“There’s finally an app that understands life on the road because it was built on the road,” Colan McGeehan, CEO and co-founder of House of Highways, said in a press release.
“We left our media careers, sold our New York farm, and are now in our second year living full-time on the road. We’re not influencers—we’re builders. This platform wasn’t made to document a lifestyle, it was made to enable it,” Colan added.
Ask Junie functions as a trip planner, technical support resource, local guide, and travel companion. It accounts for RV-specific considerations such as height and weight restrictions, and can help locate mobile technicians in remote areas.
“This app was born from the lifestyle, not the other way around,” said Cristy Lee McGeehan, co-founder and chief creative officer.
“After years designing spaces – and now living nomadically, I wanted to create something that actually solved real problems—like how to plan a route that works for your rig, or track down a mobile tech when you’re in the middle of nowhere. That’s what Junie does,” Cristy Lee added.
The McGeehans bring experience from senior roles in media, marketing, and design. Colan McGeehan’s background includes leadership positions at GroupM/WPP, Publicis Health Media, The New York Times, WebMD, and Dotdash Meredith.
Cristy Lee McGeehan’s work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Domino, with appearances on Magnolia Network, HGTV Canada, and ITV’s This Morning.
In developing HoH+, the founders traveled through 22 states, visited 21 national parks, and tested the app in a range of environments. The platform integrates features such as RV-friendly GPS, route planning, and access to the largest manually curated campground directory in the United States.
The app’s integrated services include RV rentals through RVShare, reservations via Campspot, travel insurance from Insured Nomads, and telemedicine through DrOnCall.
HoH+ is available now with a 50% launch discount for early adopters. More information is available at houseofhighways.com.
