Glampers in RVs: The Latest Trend in the RV Industry

The world of camping is witnessing a paradigm shift. For many, it’s no longer just about being one with nature, adhering to strict rules, or following unbreakable traditions.

A new breed of campers, known as glampers, is emerging, catering to those who seek leisure without compromising on comfort or aesthetics. This article delves into the latest glampers of the 2023 season, showcasing how they’re revolutionizing the camping experience.

One of the standout models in this new wave of glampers is the English manufacturer Campods’ funky caravan. Drawing inspiration from the wagons of colonial ages, these trailers offer spacious interiors, panoramic windows, and a four-person dinette that transforms into a queen bed.

They come equipped with a Truma electric water heater, space heater, and a porta potty. For those seeking additional comforts, the standard package can be expanded to include an oven, barbecue system, full-body awning, 12-volt TV, 60-watt solar, and an external shower.

Another noteworthy entry is the HC1 Studio by Happier Campers. This high-end version of the original HC1 offers a completely modular cabin that can be rearranged into limitless configurations, including a bedroom, dining area, or living room. The studio version also packs a built-in wet bath with a shower and a toilet, plus a mini kitchen up front.

The Skyview Camper by the Denver-based Never Summer Industries is a rustic teardrop perfect for exploring the Colorado Rockies. Built on a steel frame with aluminum exterior, 2.5-inch insulation, and birchwood elements, it comes fitted with 14-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

The Skyview is fully equipped to serve two people, featuring a memory foam queen-size mattress, a camp stove, a 7-gallon solar-powered shower, a full electrical system, and LED interior lights.

Airstream, the gold standard for classic aluminum camping trailers, has also joined the glamping trend with its REI Co-op special edition base camp. This model offers all the necessary comforts for a duo of travelers, including a 25-piece REI Co-op kit, a 360-watt Merlin solar system, and a 200-ampere-hour lithium battery bank.

The Adventure 1 by Potential Motors is a hybrid between a UTV and a camper, designed for short-range outings requiring legitimate off-road capabilities. This smart camper houses an integrated kitchen with 10 gallons of water storage and a deployable full-size bed. In case the battery is severely depleted, cooking and heating propane can be used to charge the vehicle.

The rise of glampers is a testament to the evolving demands of campers who seek a blend of luxury and adventure. As the RV industry continues to innovate, these glamorous campers are set to redefine the camping experience, offering a unique blend of style, comfort, and functionality.
