The Sheridan/Big Horn Mountain KOA Campground is gearing up to transform into a winter wonderland this Christmas season.
Stacy Kobielusz, the campground manager for the past four years, is leading the effort to decorate the entire campground. Initially managing the site only during the winter months, Kobielusz was inspired to undertake this festive project.
Kobielusz is inviting the community to drive through and enjoy the holiday lights, with hopes that visitors will consider donating to the KOA Care Camp, a charity supporting children with cancer. The campground features several cabins and numerous trees.
To further engage the public, the KOA gift shop will be open on Saturday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering hot chocolate, apple cider, and a variety of Christmas shopping options. Businesses and individuals interested in adopting a space or tree for decoration can have their names displayed to acknowledge their contributions.
“If a business helps with the decorating, I will advertise for them,” Kobielusz said, as reported by Sheridan Media on November 26.
According to its website, the Sheridan/Big Horn Mountains KOA Journey offers a variety of activities for families to enjoy during their stay. Guests can also enjoy fishing in Goose Creek, exploring a gem mine/sluce, and hiking, walking, and biking along The Green Room trail.
For those seeking a more relaxed experience, a peaceful stroll along Big Goose Creek provides a chance to unwind. With these and other recreational options, the campground ensures visitors have plenty to keep them entertained.
The Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA Journey provides a range of amenities designed for comfort and convenience. The campground features 50 Max Amp, along with Wi-Fi and a seasonal pool open from May 28 to September 9.
Other amenities include propane, firewood, and KampK9. Unique offerings such as a 24-hour laundry, calf roping, and a community fire pit add to the experience.
