Winnebago is targeting the lower part of the market for trailers with its new Hike 100. Although it’s small, the Hike 100 is still extremely capable, a report said.
The Hike 100 has a dry weight of 2,700 pounds (1,225 kilograms), so even a mid-sized crossover such as the Ford Explorer would be able to pull this trailer. It is seven feet (2.134 meters wide) and 189 inches (4.801 meters) long. There are 77 inches (1.956 meters) of standing room inside the trailer.
Winnebago offers its Hike 100 in four floorplans. Each one comes with the option of sleeping spaces, kitchenette, and bathrooms. The guests can pick between stacked bunk beds, the separate beds on each side, a murphy bed, or the combination of a queen-sized mattress and a loft bed.
There are also versions with a flip-down door at the back with extra storage or barn doors for more airflow.
Trail 100 is ready to carry all your outdoor equipment. It comes with an exterior that is ready to take Thule accessories if owners need to transport canoes or kayaks. The 2-inch receiver on the back is designed to accommodate a bike rack.
The interior is equipped with an insulation system made of radiant foil in the roof, which keeps the occupants comfy. The trailer has a capacity of 31 gallons (117.3 Liters) for freshwater, 4.75 gallons (17.98 liters) for black water, and 25 gallons (94.64 Liters) for gray water. The 12-volt pad heaters help prevent the tanks from freezing.
To power your home, the 190-watt solar panel is standard, with the option of connecting a portable board for additional power.
Winnebago displays its Hike 100 as part of its 2022 model year range. The company hasn’t yet announced pricing for the Hike 100.
