Skamania Lodge is set to reopen its luxury glamping accommodations for the 2025 season, running from April through October.
Situated in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, the lodge’s glamping offering is positioned as a high-end outdoor lodging experience that combines nature immersion with resort-style amenities.
The lodge’s five canvas tents feature king or queen-size beds with 300-thread count sheets, a private outdoor fire pit, and a separate bathing tent with a soaking tub.
Guests also have access to resort amenities such as dining at the Cascade Dining Room and River Rock Lounge, the Waterleaf Spa, a heated indoor pool, and a variety of outdoor adventure activities, including zip-lining, axe throwing, and an aerial ropes course.

Paige Carlson, director of sales and marketing at Skamania Lodge, highlighted the property’s location and its appeal to travelers looking for outdoor experiences.
“Our immersive outdoor experience helps guests reconnect with nature while enjoying luxury comforts,” Carlson said in a press release.
“As one of the only resorts located in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Skamania Lodge is the perfect base camp for outdoor adventures, from hiking, fly fishing and cycling to whitewater rafting and, for the adventurous, windsurfing.”
The reopening comes amid increasing demand for elevated outdoor accommodations, reflecting a broader trend in the hospitality sector where glamping has gained traction as an alternative to traditional lodging.

For operators in the outdoor hospitality industry, Skamania Lodge’s approach demonstrates the value of pairing luxury amenities with an immersive natural setting.
The combination of premium accommodations and adventure-based offerings could serve as a model for other properties looking to enhance guest experiences and extend stays.
As competition grows in the high-end outdoor lodging space, businesses may find opportunities to refine their product offerings to cater to guests seeking both comfort and adventure.
With consumers increasingly prioritizing unique and experiential travel, resorts and glamping operators can explore ways to differentiate their accommodations through personalized experiences, high-quality amenities, and seamless integration with their surrounding landscapes.
