RV Manufacturer THOR Industries has strengthened its commitment to environmental stewardship by extending its partnership with the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) through 2025. This collaboration underscores THOR’s dedication to fostering inclusivity in outdoor activities.

The highlight of this partnership is THOR’s sponsorship of the “Girl Scouts Love State Parks” event. Celebrated in nearly 500 state parks across the US and Puerto Rico, this event stands as GSUSA’s most significant outdoor initiative.

The “Girl Scouts Love State Parks” event offers a plethora of activities, ranging from self-guided tours and family hikes to water sports and stargazing, according to a press release.

Scheduled for September 10 and 11, the event aims to connect individuals with nature, emphasizing the importance of outdoor experiences in building confidence.

Especially for girls, these outdoor activities play a pivotal role in their development. The Girl Scouts’ programs stress the significance of such experiences, ensuring that girls, who might not have had such opportunities before, can benefit from them.

Incorporating THOR’s “Pick Up America” sustainability initiative, the Girl Scouts have pledged to clean up trash from public lands. Since the partnership’s inception, they have committed to removing over 22 tons of waste, contributing to the 290 tons of trash pledged to be removed since 2019.

Litter has detrimental effects on the environment and wildlife. By emphasizing the importance of maintaining clean parks and green spaces, the partnership aims to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of waste.
