Jellystone Park locations across Texas are preparing for a series of Halloween-themed weekends that will attract families throughout September and October.
These events, which include costume contests, trick-or-treating, and other festive activities, are scheduled for the last two weekends of September and every weekend in October. The parks, a destination among families, continue to offer their attractions even after the back-to-school season.
“The weeks before Halloween are always busy because they are really popular with families,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, which operates more than 75 Jellystone Park locations across North America in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.
Six Jellystone Park locations in Texas, Burleson, Canyon Lake, Kerrville, Waller, Tyler, and Wichita Falls, are participating in the seasonal events. These parks will feature various activities, including pumpkin painting, campsite and cabin decorating contests, and family-friendly events like candy bar bingo and foam parties. Each weekend promises fun for all ages as the parks celebrate Halloween in a family-oriented environment.
Alongside Halloween events, Jellystone Park locations offer a range of attractions, including swimming pools, water slides, and mini golf, ensuring a full range of entertainment for visitors.
Locations like Canyon Lake and Kerrville also include additional activities like pedal carts and laser tag. Waller offers paddle boats, and Wichita Falls includes unique attractions like a barrel train ride and paintball.
Burleson Park also features a 10,000-square-foot maze and a family climbing adventure area, while Tyler offers laser tag, a maze, and Gellyball. These parks cater to various interests, ensuring each family member has something to enjoy.
“Many families rent cabins and come back every year to enjoy our organized activities and each other’s company,” Hershenson said.
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts operates more than 75 locations across North America, offering a combination of fun attractions, activities, and unique accommodations. Visitors to these parks can also expect family-focused entertainment and interactions with Yogi Bear characters.
