Several Texas campgrounds and RV parks announced the availability of RV sites for the upcoming holiday and winter camping season, emphasizing the urgency of booking early.
Brian Schaeffer, executive director and CEO of the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO), highlighted the unique advantage of private parks in Texas remaining open year-round, with warmer temperatures the further south one travels.
“Several Texas campgrounds and RV parks are telling us they still have open spots for the holidays and even during the popular winter season, but the time to book is now,” Schaeffer said.
Ennis Luxury RV Resort in Ennis offers a modern camping experience with amenities like a swimming pool, clubhouse, dog park, and specialized services such as dry cleaning, mobile RV washing, and massage options.
Great Escapes RV Resorts, an expanding network of family-friendly destinations, also provides a variety of attractions at its locations in Bryan, Cedar Creek, and Perrin. Resort-style swimming pools, organized activities, sports courts, and private event spaces cater to families seeking diverse recreation options.
In Bryan, campers can enjoy a floating obstacle course and water-themed hayrides, while the Perrin location boasts three swimming pools and a splash pad.
The Oakdale RV Resort & Motor Court in Glen Rose also combines historical charm with modern amenities. Established in 1925, the campground is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, featuring the iconic Oakdale Plunge pool and a dance hall that accommodates up to 400 people.
As it approaches its centennial anniversary in 2025, the park is planning events to celebrate its legacy, including dances and roller-skating. Visitors can enjoy fire pits, outdoor stages, and a dog park, which reflect the park’s dedication to creating a memorable experience for its guests.
Pioneer Beach RV Resort in Port Aransas provides both RV sites and cabin accommodations, catering to a range of camping preferences. With two swimming pools, a hot tub, and a private boardwalk leading to the beach, the resort blends relaxation with outdoor activities. Its birding pond, home to various species, appeals to nature enthusiasts, while amenities such as a game room and recreation hall enhance its appeal for families.
Trader’s Village RV Park in Houston also features level concrete pads and access to the adjacent Trader’s Village, known for its flea markets, shopping, and entertainment. Park amenities include a swimming pool, restrooms, and laundry facilities, providing convenience for travelers.
Twisted Parrot Luxury RV Resort in Montgomery elevates the camping experience with its proximity to Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe. Guests can upgrade their stays with day passes granting access to water slides, swim-up bars, mini-golf, and several dining options. Additionally, the resort provides courts for tennis, pickleball, and basketball, ensuring activities for guests of all interests.
In Grapevine, the Vineyards Campground and Cabins spans 52 acres of wooded terrain surrounding Grapevine Lake, offering scenic RV sites and furnished cabins. Campers can rent kayaks and bicycles to explore the area, while upgraded Wi-Fi and cable television enhance their comfort. The campground’s pavilion serves as a versatile space for gatherings.
