After a successful comeback celebration in Rock Springs, Wyoming in July last year, the Escapees RV Club is revving up for the 61st Escapade, June 19-24 in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The group is packing a range of educational seminars, socials, activities, entertainment, and more for this year’s Escapade.
The gathering is a “fantastic way to learn more about the RV lifestyle from professionals and experienced RVers,” as stated on the RV club’s website.
The opportunity to learn begins prior to the event with RVers Boot Camp. Three knowledge-filled days will allow those enrolling to learn from industry experts about tire and weight safety, basic RV systems, fire and life safety, proper towing techniques, and more.
At last year’s Escapade, attendees expanded their knowledge from industry and RV life experts like Winnebago, Geeks on Tour, and Safety Expert Jim Koca. The education continues this year with a lineup of experts holding seminars on topics such as towing, solar power, mobile internet, boondocking, and more.
A SmartWeigh booth will also be available at Escapade, where highly-trained staff will provide RV weight safety and load management information after weighing individual wheels. Those signing up at the event will also receive a one-on-one consultation with the weighmaster.
For vendors, the marketplace will be a great opportunity to show off their products and services. They can also introduce their company by being a sponsor, allowing them to reach attendees through seminars, on-site banners, mentions, and more.
Because the RV life is not just for adults, young RVers will also have a great time at Kidscapade. The free program provides engaging and fun activities for the kids while their parents and grandparents attend educational sessions and socials. Apart from local history lessons, crafts, and storytime, children can express themselves by participating in Escapade’s Got Talent.
There will also be a photo contest for RVers who have a passion for photography. The competition’s theme this year is “Music and More.” Those interested can check out this page to learn more.
Another event that attendees can look forward to is the Escapade Hair-Raising Chili Cook-Off. The heat is on—but for a purpose—all funds raised from the contest will be donated to CARE.
Adding to the fun at the national rally are Charlotte Pike, Cornfield Mafia, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, and Charlie’s Bad Habit, who will entertain with good music.
Over 1,400 RVers came together at the Escapade last year and registration for this year is ongoing, with early bird pricing ending on May 1.
