Founded by camping enthusiasts Eric and Ali Rasmussen in March 2021, the company has grown to include 14 campgrounds across the Eastern U.S., from Maine to South Carolina.
With a mission to offer a fun, relaxing, and authentic campground experience in destinations with abundant outdoor recreation and attractions, Spacious Skies Campgrounds is executing a regional growth strategy while improving amenities at all properties to provide guests with consistent and reliable accommodations, service, and access to the great outdoors.
The company’s focus on providing an authentic, locally connected camping experience is evident in its approach to campground management.
On-site campground managers receive specific training in customer service, hospitality, and management skills through the “Camper Care” program, which the company built from scratch during its first full operating year.
Additionally, all campgrounds work to embrace and promote the work of local makers and artists. Spacious Skies Sandy Run features a colorful mural promoting the company’s slogan, “Take Your Indoors Outdoors,” and plans for additional murals are in the works.

The company is pursuing an aggressive hiring strategy to ensure quality operations that match its mission of providing a fun, relaxing, and authentic camping experience.
