The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) will give 12 female RV technicians the chance to have its gold standard training this summer. In partnership with the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), an all-female Level 1 class will take place from August 1 to 5, free of charge for the 12 women in the RV industry.
“We are very excited to be partnering with the RV Technical Institute to provide this incredible training opportunity to women in our industry,” said RVWA President Susan Carpenter.
“There is such a need for trained and certified RV technicians, and the RV Technical Institute has the best program around to prepare aspiring RV techs for a successful career.”
The agreement will have RVTI give the training for free. At the same time, the RV Women’s Alliance will provide the scholarships that cover the accommodation for the students during their training week, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
Through the partnership, the RV Technical Institute will provide training free of charge, and RVWA will provide scholarships to cover the hotel stay for students during the week of their training.
“The RV Technical Institute and the RV Women’s Alliance are very aligned in the value we place on education and providing the skills to people in our industry to succeed and grow in their careers,” said RVTI Director of Recruitment and RVWA Board Member Tracy Angelmeyer.
“It just makes sense for us to partner together on this opportunity to train more women RV technicians.”
Any woman in the RV industry interested in pursuing a career as an RV technician is encouraged to apply for one of the twelve spots available in the class. Applications will be accepted until June 24, 2022, and selected applicants will be notified by July 1, 2022.
