RVTI Showcases Cost-Effective On-Site Dealer Training for 2025

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is showcasing its training services in 2025 through an enhanced “Dealer On-Site Training” initiative. This program allows dealerships to host training sessions, aiming to make it more convenient for RV technicians to gain critical skills.

Dealerships registered as Location Subscribers or Authorized Learning Partners+ can request this service.

According to a press release, the “Dealer On-Site Training” offers flexibility for dealerships by bringing the institute’s instructors directly to their service centers. This method includes the institute’s weeklong in-person Level 1 course and the 12-week hybrid Level 2 course. By accommodating the training at a dealership’s location, the program addresses logistical challenges and enhances technician participation.

The Level 1 course also focuses on essential RV maintenance skills. Participants are trained in propane systems, electrical components, plumbing, appliances, bodywork, generators, and chassis systems. Successful completion equips technicians with the knowledge needed to prepare RVs for customer delivery by ensuring all systems are functional.

For more advanced training, the “Dealer On-Site” initiative includes the hybrid Level 2 course. This program combines 11 weeks of online theoretical learning with a week of in-person, hands-on instruction at the dealership. This structure enables technicians to deepen their understanding of RV systems.

During the final week of the Level 2 course, an instructor from the institute will provide direct guidance at the dealership.

Dealerships interested in “Dealer On-Site Training” should be aware of potential adjustments to the hands-on portions of the courses. “Please note that, in the case of Dealer On-Site Training, the hands-on portions of Level 1 and Level 2 could need adjustments depending on the dealership’s available materials,” the press release indicated.

The institute’s instructors work closely with dealerships to tailor the hands-on training sessions to available resources. One significant advantage of Dealer On-Site Training is cost savings.
