RV Technical Institute Announces January 2025 Training Schedule

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) released its January 2025 schedule for in-person and hybrid technician training courses, continuing its mission to provide comprehensive training for RV technicians across the industry.

The institute, headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, offers a subscription-based training model designed to equip technicians with the skills needed to service and maintain recreational vehicles.

The upcoming training sessions will take place at RVTI’s campus in Elkhart, with multiple Level 1 and Level 2 courses available. The hands-on, competency-based program is recognized as the only industry-backed certification pathway for RV technicians, developed by experts from various sectors of the RV industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, and independent technicians.

According to a press release, the first Level 1 course of the year is scheduled for January 13-17, at the RVTI campus. This one-week, in-person training provides an introduction to essential RV maintenance skills, focusing on foundational knowledge required to diagnose and repair basic systems. Another Level 1 course will run from January 27-31, also at the institute’s headquarters.

Level 2 training, which delves into more advanced diagnostic and repair techniques, will be offered in both in-person and hybrid formats. A three-week, in-person Level 2 course is set for January 21 to February 7, at the Elkhart campus.

Additionally, a 12-week hybrid Level 2 course begins on January 13, with 11 weeks conducted online and a final in-person session from March 31 to April 4 at RVTI’s facilities.

RVTI’s training programs aim to address the ongoing demand for qualified RV technicians, a need highlighted by the growing popularity of RV travel in recent years. By offering both in-person and hybrid courses, the institute ensures flexibility for technicians seeking to enhance their skills while balancing professional commitments.

The subscription model introduced by RVTI offers significant cost savings for dealerships and individuals alike. For $1,575 per dealership location annually, RV dealerships can provide their entire team with access to both Level 1 and Level 2 training, either online or in person.

Individuals interested in pursuing a career as a mobile technician or transitioning into the RV service industry can access the same training for $630 per year.
