RV Products, a division of Airxcel that encompasses brands like Coleman-Mach, Maxxair, and Solace, has implemented a solar panel system at its Wichita, Kansas, facility, marking a significant step in its sustainability efforts. The company installed 72 solar panels during a facility expansion earlier this year, integrating the project into its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and embrace renewable energy.
Operational since October 2024, the solar power system now generates a notable portion of the facility’s energy needs. This milestone reflects RV Products’ dedication to adopting sustainable practices.
“This is just one part of our efforts to utilize renewable energy sources,” Rob Leach, division president for RV Products, said in a press release. “We’ve installed LED lights throughout the facility and are also looking at filling our own propane tanks to reduce the waste of dumping cylinders. At RV Products, we are dedicated to investing in innovation and sustainability to help elevate the RV industry,” Leach explained.
The installation coincides with the company’s broader commitment to supporting the Wichita community, where it has operated for over 50 years. “For over five decades, we have been a proud member of the Wichita community, continuously innovating and investing in our shared future,” Leach explained.
“Our new solar panels represent not just a leap forward in sustainable technology, but also our unwavering commitment to supporting the community that has supported us since 1967. We are excited to bring cleaner energy solutions to Wichita, reinforcing our dedication to both environmental stewardship and local growth,” Leach added.
Maxxair, a company focused on ventilation products, continues to be recognized for its innovative solutions, while Coleman-Mach, established in 1967, is a key provider of air conditioners, heat pumps, and climate control accessories for RVs. Solace, the newest addition to the Airxcel family, focuses on RV furniture designed to enhance comfort and usability.
