The Mike Molino RV Learning Center has increased its annual college scholarship award to $5,000, expanding financial support for students pursuing careers in the recreational vehicle industry or already working within it.
The updated award level applies to the 2026–2027 school year, with applications now available online and a submission deadline set for June 22.
The increase is made possible through the continued support of the Kindlund Family, according to the RV Learning Center. The scholarship program targets undergraduates currently employed in the RV industry, dependents of RV industry employees, and students intending to enter the RV sector after graduation.
Dealer principals, along with their families and dependents, are not eligible for the award.
“The program was created to help foster the next generation of RV industry leaders, and this will be the 35th scholarship awarded since its inception,” said RV Learning Center Education Director Ally Brown. “We appreciate Newt Kindlund’s continuing support for industry employees and their families.”
The scholarship is funded through an endowment established by Joanne and Newt Kindlund, co-founders of Holiday RV Superstores, recognized as the first publicly traded RV dealership.
Newt Kindlund continues to participate in industry affairs and serves as director emeritus on the RV Learning Center’s board of directors.
Since its establishment in 2000, the Kindlund family endowment has contributed $85,000 in scholarships distributed to 34 students, according to the RV Learning Center.
