General RV Center is set to host a hiring event on August 14 to August 15 at the Hampton Inn in Salisbury, North Carolina, as it prepares to open its new supercenter in the area. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and aims to fill up to 150 full-time positions with an average salary of $65,000.
Job seekers can apply for various roles, including sales associates, service technicians, service advisors, and parts representatives. General RV representatives will be on-site to meet and interview candidates.
The new Salisbury location marks General RV’s first venture into North Carolina, situated just outside of Charlotte. The 71,000-square-foot facility will offer a range of RVs and outdoor products. It will also feature over 30 service bays, including a six-bay body shop, and enough space to house 700 RVs, making it the “largest family-owned dealership” within 400-500 miles in the state.
Founded in Michigan in 1962, General RV has grown as a family-owned RV dealership in the United States. The company currently operates full-service dealerships across Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Utah, and Pennsylvania. Each location offers a wide selection of RVs, service facilities, and retail parts and accessories.
Tari Krupinski, director of recruiting at General RV, emphasized the company’s excitement about the new location. “The Salisbury workforce is known for their high level of skill and strong work ethic. We are excited to tap into this talent pool and welcome new team members to our GRV team as we prepare for the fall opening.”
The Salisbury supercenter is part of General RV’s broader expansion plans. In 2023, the company broke ground on a second location in Utah, expected to open in early 2025. With the addition of the Salisbury location, General RV’s nationwide network will grow to 20 locations.
