CARVC To Circulate Full Directory

A pamphlet is no longer enough for The Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds to put out a full directory next year. The directory will consist of 32 pages that will feature the splendor of North and South Carolina and their campgrounds, blogs, and more.

“We’re already working on it in the layout is falling in very, very well,” said Dee Witting, Executive Director of the association, in an interview with Modern Campground.

“We were constrained before, but now, the sky can be the limit,” she added.

The group caters to over a thousand outdoor recreation sites in the Myrtle Beach area and 50-100 campsites over the Carolinas mountains.

The association prints 80,000 copies annually. This year alone, an additional 5,000 copies had to be printed out when they ran out in August. The record-breaking attendance to their recent 2021 Raleigh Fall RV Show also accounted for the distribution of 2,000 directory pamphlets.

The new directory is set to be distributed by early 2022.

The association’s Takeaway Tour will also be back. The group will visit four campgrounds during the tour, one of which is under construction.

“A lot of our campgrounds are going through a lot of renovation and all of that, and that’ll be very interesting,” Witting said.

During the tour, they will also be doing a wine tasting in a luncheon at one of their campgrounds that has a winery.

CARVC is also looking forward to its membership growth as well as its marketing efforts. They are currently working on their Camping Carolinas website.

“We’re working on Camping Carolina’s website; that’s one big thing that we’re really taking a closer look at as something that will make our website unique,” she said.

The Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CARVC) is a non-profit trade association representing the RV Parks and campgrounds in North and South Carolina. CARVC aims to promote the growth, prosperity, improvement, and profitability of privately operated camping and RV Parks in both Carolina states and the outdoor hospitality industries.
