Campground, RV Park Association Executives To Gather In North Carolina For CAMP Fall Meeting

The Campground Association of Management Professionals (CAMP) has organized a two-day conference in North Carolina this month where attendees can anticipate an abundance of networking and learning opportunities.

According to a release, CAMP’s Fall Meeting will be held on November 8-9. The event will be in-person with Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina as the venue.

CAMP President Joann DelVescio from New Jersey said that “getting back to face-to-face meetings and conferences is so important for us to connect on a variety of levels. CAMP met via Zoom, and while it was a great way to stay connected, nothing can replace sharing information and ideas in person.”

The annual meeting will allow the group to hear from 14 different state executives to talk about their seasons. The association has also prepared seven educational sessions where speakers from the camping industry will cover various timely topics.

Topics and speakers of the first day include Edward Hanes from The Hanes Group Government Affairs, who will be discussing lobbying local and state officials on important campground issues. Quality Talk Inc. President Ron Rosenberg will also be present. He will be talking about “Guiding Your Members Through the Changing Campground Landscape.”

The speakers for the following day include Christine Taylor, Esq., Partner, The Towne Law Firm, who will be holding a seminar entitled, “Are Your Board Documents Current?” followed by an RVIA representative who will be discussing “Building A Better Relationship with State Associations.”

DelVescio noted that the educational sessions are more collaborative and enlightening when the speaker can connect with the audience in the room.

CAMP will also be launching www.CampgroundExecutives.com—a new website to represent the group. Designed by CAMP sponsor AGS Guest Guides, the site will be a resource for campground association executives around the country. It will have a section featuring relevant legislation about campgrounds.

Other sponsors include Conestoga Wagons, CampSpot, AGS Guest Guides, Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners, and Anderson’s Brochure Distribution Services.

CAMP was formed in 1977 when several state campground and RV park association executives got together and formalized their meetings with the annual ARVC convention. CAMP is the nation’s only association specifically designed for campground association management executives.
