Blue Water is inviting first responders and their families to enjoy the tranquil side of the Outer Banks (North Carolina) at Outer Banks West/Currituck Sound KOA Holiday for the 2nd Annual First Responders Weekend happening March 25 to 27.
Alongside the property’s various amenities, Currituck Sound KOA seeks to give first responders memorable holiday experiences, a report said.
Over 30 vendors will be present at the event, including Muse Bus Market and Sanctuary Vineyards. There will also be multiple food trucks, music from DJ Alan and other acts, Bounce & Boogie Bounce House for the kids, a K-9 Demo, and an appearance from the Lizard Land Reptile show.
Guests can enjoy the KOA’s amenities like a nine-hole mini-golf course, boats (pedal, banana, and row), fishing rods, fish cleaning stations, and a pedal cart track. The campground also has over a half-mile of shoreline where guests can fish, boat, and observe wildlife.
The 2nd Annual First Responders Weekend will also include a visit from Smokey Bear as well as raffles and team competitions. The main activities on March 26 are open to the public.
Blue Water is requesting guests who attend the festival to “Pay it Forward” and donate to benefit the Currituck Animal Shelter at the event.
