Brookwood RV Resort (New York) unveiled its extensive expansion, making owners Mark Jacoby and Buffie Vereecke’s vision a reality.
According to its website, Brookwood RV Resort is set in the scenic Northern Lake George and Southern Lake Champlain region of New York State.
Vereecke and her husband and business partner, Jacoby, have had Brookwood since 2014.
“We’ve been wanting to put a pool in since year one of our business,” says Vereecke.
Over the past eight years, the couple has turned one of the best-kept secrets of Ticonderoga locals into a truly living and breathing business that perfectly represents what it means to enjoy summer in the Adirondacks.
Tables, chairs, and cabanas will be available before the official opening date to complete the look. It will include an adult and a family area, so those concerned about splashing won’t have to worry.
Alongside the stunning 18′ x 68′ ft pool, which has a stylish and crisp blue liner, Brookwood campers will now have access to lawn bowling, checkers, bocci ball, and a new playground.
The pool is only phase one of the expansion. The event barn, which will open next year, is the other jewel in the expansion’s majestic crown.
“We wanted to have an event location,” Buffie explained. “We’ve had many requests to be able to host family gatherings and talk of doing weddings. Now we will be able to accommodate that. Our price range will also fit a different market for people; it will be a nice supplement to the area,” she noted, acknowledging that Ticonderoga has become an extremely popular wedding location in the past few years.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Brookwood to mark the pool’s grand opening within a few weeks.
“It was a bare canvas when we first arrived,” Jacoby said. “We’ve done nothing but develop since we’ve been here.
