Modern America Campgrounds, the “largest RV park owner” in the Northeast, announced the acquisition of Winding River Campground in Exeter, New Hampshire. This purchase marks the company’s 29th park acquisition within the last two years.
Hunter Vazza, a representative for Modern America Campgrounds, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We are thrilled to welcome Winding River Campground to the Modern America Campgrounds family,” Vazza said, highlighting how the addition supports the company’s strategic plans for expanding guest offerings.
Winding River Campground is among the properties set to boost the company’s portfolio to 33 parks by next season. Modern America Campgrounds anticipates completing four additional acquisitions in the near term, emphasizing its dedication to growth and “exceptional camping experiences.”
The company also introduced programs to enhance the guest experience, particularly for seasonal members and transient visitors. One such initiative allows seasonal pass holders to access other Modern America Campgrounds properties at no extra charge on a limited basis.
Vazza highlighted the unique features of several flagship properties, including Bar Harbor Campground, with its ocean views; Eastern Slope, located along the Saco River in Conway, New Hampshire; and Camping on the Battenkill, with extensive riverfrontage in Arlington, Vermont. “There isn’t another park owner in the Northeast that allows their seasonal member campers complimentary access to 29 parks,” Vazza said in a press release.
Modern America Campgrounds also introduced the Freedom Trail Pass, designed to provide guests with minimal restrictions for accessing its network of campgrounds during peak season. This pass aims to enhance convenience and flexibility for campers exploring Modern America Campgrounds’ diverse destinations.
The company is preparing to launch a Loyalty Rewards Program for the 2025 season, targeting transient campers. The program will offer discounted pricing and free stays to reward repeat visitors, further enhancing the overall camping experience.
