Monroe County/Toledo North KOA Holiday, a camping destination in southeast Michigan, has announced an ambitious expansion plan that includes the addition of two swimming pools, a splash pad, cabins, and several other amenities aimed at enhancing the camping experience for families and outdoor enthusiasts, a Michigan Live report highlighted.
The campground, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and wide range of activities, shared its plans on Facebook, detailing the upcoming additions.
These include pool cabanas, a concession area, a mini-golf course, six new cabins, and more RV and tent camping sites.
Officials at Monroe County/Toledo North KOA Holiday have indicated that the planning for these new and exciting amenities is in the early stages, with construction tentatively set to begin this fall. Importantly, the campground has committed to scheduling all construction activities during the offseason to minimize the impact on campers, ensuring that the summer camping experience remains uninterrupted.
According to its website, currently, the campground offers a 220-foot-long double-loop waterslide, a catch-and-release fishing lake with boat rentals, and a robust activities program. The addition of new amenities is expected to further enhance the appeal of the campground as a premier family destination.
Among the existing attractions are mini-golf, a baseball diamond, soccer goals, and playgrounds, which are available to campers every day. The campground also features various inflatables, including an outdoor movie screen, an obstacle course, a bounce house, and a slippery slide, adding to the fun and excitement of the camping experience.
For pet owners, the campground offers the KampK9 dog park, ensuring that furry family members also have a place to play and enjoy the outdoors. The setting of the campground, amidst maple, oak, and pine trees, offers a tranquil country environment with shaded campsites, a group suite, Camping Cabins, Deluxe Cabins, and an 8-foot-high treehouse for a unique lodging experience.
In addition to the physical amenities, the campground provides free all-you-can-eat pancakes during Memorial Day, Labor Day Weekend and on Halloween Weekends, along with complimentary Wi-Fi, adding value to the camping experience.
