LCI Industries has solidified its position in the recreational vehicle and marine markets through a strategic acquisition carried out by its subsidiary, Lippert Components, Inc. The company announced the purchase of the majority of furniture business assets from CWDS, LLC, a subsidiary of Camping World Holdings, Inc., effective May 3, 2024.
This acquisition aligns with Lippert’s objectives to expand and enhance its furniture portfolio, catering to both the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and aftermarket segments within the RV and marine industries.
Since its foray into the RV interiors market in 2009, Lippert Components has established itself as a leading supplier of furniture for the RV industry. This latest acquisition is expected to further cement Lippert’s market position by integrating CWDS’s assets into its extensive product offerings.
The agreement between LCI Industries and Camping World Holdings, Inc. signals a significant enhancement in their long-standing relationship. Lippert, recognized as a premier vendor to Camping World, will now have greater influence over how its products are displayed and sold within Camping World’s retail locations.
Additionally, the acquisition is set to improve the online consumer experience. Lippert will expand its presence on Camping World’s digital platforms, namely campingworld.com and overtons.com, by providing a broader selection of products from its extensive RV, automotive, and marine catalogs.
In a press release published earlier this week, Jason Lippert, President and CEO of Lippert, emphasized the importance of this partnership in reaching new heights. “We are very excited to bring the Lippert and Camping World partnership to new levels,” he said. According to Lippert, both companies are committed to enhancing the customer experience through improved offerings and services.
The acquisition not only aims to enhance product offerings but also to foster innovation in the RV and marine sectors. Lippert plans to utilize its technical expertise and innovative capabilities to lead advancements in RV installations, enhancements, and repairs.
Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World, also expressed optimism about the future of the partnership. “We look forward to our expanded partnership as we collectively work toward further elevating the retail and service experience in our dealerships,” Lemonis stated.
The synergy between Lippert’s product expertise and Camping World’s extensive network of dealerships is anticipated to create immediate benefits for both entities. This collaboration is expected to result in a more integrated approach to sales and customer service, ultimately improving the end-user experience.
With this acquisition, Lippert reinforces its mission to deliver quality and innovative solutions to the RV and marine markets. The company remains dedicated to enhancing its product lines and service offerings to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
The acquisition of CWDS’s furniture business by Lippert Components marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy. It not only strengthens Lippert’s product offerings but also enhances its partnership with Camping World, setting the stage for further growth and innovation in the RV and marine industries.
