Lazydays RV Certifies 25 Technicians Through RV Technical Institute Training

Lazydays RV recently certified 25 technicians through the RV Technical Institute’s (RVTI) renowned training program, enhancing their skills and ensuring superior customer service. This initiative underscores Lazydays RV’s commitment to maintaining high standards across its operations.

Lazydays RV, which operates 26 locations across 15 states, emphasizes the widespread impact of the training program on its broad geographic reach. 

The 25 certified technicians completed various levels of training, including Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Lazydays RV holds 10 location subscriptions that provide unlimited digital access to the Institute’s foundational training levels and initial testing attempts, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association (RVIA).

The Institute’s training program is a hands-on, competency-based curriculum designed by industry experts. It is widely regarded as the gold standard in RV technician training, offering industry-backed certification and structured career paths.

Jay Diaz, Lazydays RV’s service operations specialist, discussed the dealership’s decision to partner with the RV Technical Institute. “We wanted to enhance our technicians’ skills and stay ahead in the industry,” he said, as quoted in the RVIA report. 

He emphasized that the training ensures technicians receive top-tier, industry-standard education, directly translating to improved quality of work.

Skill enhancement is a primary motivation for Lazydays RV, as the dealership recognizes the value in investing in their technicians. RVTI’s program helps technicians stay current with rapid technological advancements and industry best practices. 

The Institute’s extensive connections with manufacturers play a crucial role in keeping technicians informed about new developments.

Tracking qualifications is another significant benefit. The Institute’s tools allow Lazydays RV to effectively monitor each technician’s progress, ensuring they are qualified for specific tasks such as pre-delivery inspections and retail customer service. This systematic tracking helps guide technicians in their professional development.

Customer satisfaction remains a core value for Lazydays RV. Investing in training enhances customer satisfaction by ensuring repairs are handled efficiently and correctly, leading to higher customer retention and repeat business. Well-trained technicians are better equipped to deliver exceptional service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Technicians praised the self-paced online program and the hands-on hybrid Level 2 course. The interaction during online classes and the practical experience with the Institute’s trainers were particularly valuable. Positive feedback from participating technicians has encouraged more of their colleagues to join the curriculum.

Looking ahead, Lazydays RV plans to continue enrolling technicians in Level 1 and Level 2 training. Additionally, the dealership aims to become an Authorized Training Partner, enabling them to deliver the Institute’s curriculum from their Tampa, FL, and Colorado locations. 

This strategic move will make training more accessible for their technicians, further solidifying Lazydays RV’s commitment to excellence.
