KOA Recognized Among SOCi100 Most Visible Local Enterprise Brands for 2026

Kampgrounds of America (KOA), the world’s largest system of privately owned campgrounds, has been named to the SOCi100 Most Visible Local Enterprise Brands for 2026, highlighting its leadership in digital visibility across search, social media, online reputation, and AI-driven discovery.

The recognition comes from SOCi, which analyzed nearly 2,700 multi-location enterprise brands and identified KOA as a top performer in engagement, digital performance, and AI visibility. 

The SOCi100 recognizes companies that are increasingly shaping consumer decisions across traditional and emerging discovery channels.

“Being named to the inaugural SOCi100 Most Visible Local Enterprise Brands List underscores KOA’s commitment to leading with innovation and advancing the outdoor hospitality industry through data-driven, technology-enabled strategies,” Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of KOA, said in a press release.

“At KOA, we remain focused on strengthening our digital presence to elevate our campgrounds while building lasting trust with our current and future guests,” O’Rourke added.

The SOCi100 is derived from SOCi’s 2026 Local Visibility Index (LVI), which examined more than 350,000 locations across 2,751 brands. 

For the first time, the 2026 LVI incorporated AI visibility as a benchmark, reflecting how AI-powered platforms are narrowing consumer choice to single recommended results.

SOCi research shows that brands with accurate business information, positive customer sentiment, and consistent local engagement are more likely to be surfaced and recommended by AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity.

“Visibility today isn’t about ranking — it’s about being selected,” said Monica Ho, chief marketing officer at SOCi. “The brands recognized in the SOCi100 are setting the standard for trust, consistency, and performance across both traditional local channels and the next generation of AI-powered discovery.”

KOA operates more than 500 franchised and owned campgrounds worldwide and is part of Kampgrounds of America, Inc., which also includes Terramor Outdoor Resorts, a glamping brand focused on upscale outdoor experiences. 

KOA provides franchisees and campground operators support in education, design, recruitment, marketing, and technology.
