RV appliances provider GE Appliances has partnered with the nearby Progress Park Airstream Resort and Event Venue. This collaboration will allow GE to test its newly developed Recreational Living line, designed specifically for motorhomes and campers.
Progress Park, located next to GE’s Appliance Park, will feature several of the company’s latest innovations in its seven Airstream rental units. These include advanced rooftop air conditioning units, modern ovens, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Val Pifer, co-owner of Progress Park, emphasized the mutual benefits of this collaboration. “We love that this partnership enhances our guests’ experience at the park by equipping them with top-of-the-line appliances while showcasing another local company right in our backyard,” Pifer said.
The Recreational Living line is part of GE’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the lifestyle and recreational sectors. By tailoring products for the unique demands of RVs and campers, GE Appliances aims to set new standards in the industry for both innovation and comfort.
As per a WDRB.com report, Progress Park offers an attractive mix of natural beauty and modern amenities. The resort boasts seven Airstreams, two houses, and a bunk house, now functional and comfortable with GE’s appliances. Added amenities include a 2-acre aerated pond suitable for various water activities, sandy beaches, a nature trail, a covered pavilion, and a playground for children.
Located at 4501 Progress Boulevard, the resort provides an ideal test environment for GE Appliances. The setting allows GE to monitor how its products perform in typical recreational settings, providing invaluable data that can influence future product developments.
For the RV industry, this partnership signifies a potential uplift in appliance technology and integration. As manufacturers like GE introduce more specialized and technologically advanced products, RV owners can expect a significant improvement in the quality and convenience of their onboard amenities.
The collaboration between GE Appliances and Progress Park is also seen as a model for industry cooperation. By aligning appliance technology with consumer and environmental needs, both entities are pioneering efforts to enhance the recreational and outdoor living experience.
According to its website, GE Appliances offers residential appliance quality to motorhomes, ensuring that travelers have all the comforts of home while on the road. The company applies the same level of engineering and expertise to its RV-specific products as it does to its household appliances. This includes camper AC units and flexible 12V DC refrigerators, backed by more than a century of manufacturing experience.
The rooftop air conditioners offered by GE are designed to cool quickly and evenly, available in both white and black to match various RV styles. Additionally, these units feature back-lit LED thermostats with easy-to-understand icons, allowing temperature control in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
GE’s over-the-range microwave ovens are another highlight, equipped with recirculating venting systems that enhance cooking efficiency. The company also offers a range of refrigerators specifically designed to fit and function within RVs, ensuring reliability and convenience for mobile lifestyles.
