Patoka Pines RV Campground and Boat Storage, a family-owned business located at 7570 South Old State Road 145 in French Lick, Indiana, is a new addition to the region’s getaway destinations. This campground offers modern amenities and is conveniently situated near popular attractions.
In an exclusive interview with Modern Campground, Dale Nachreiner, co-owner of Patoka Pines RV Campground, along with his wife Angie, emphasized their commitment to camper privacy and guest satisfaction. He also highlighted the boating opportunities on Patoka Lake and the variety of attractions near the campground.
The campground, which opened in 2023, features 18 spacious full-hookup sites providing 50/30/20 amp service, concrete patios, picnic tables, and fire pits with grills. Conveniently located less than one-third of a mile from the Painter Creek Boat Ramp, Patoka Pines is also ideal for boating enthusiasts.
Each site is designed to accommodate the needs of modern campers, including fiber internet access, free firewood, and climate-controlled shower house facilities. Additionally, Patoka Pines offers 70-foot deep back-in sites and 90-foot pull-through sites.
The campground is also committed to eco-friendly amenities. “Patoka Pines offers hand dryers in the restroom facilities, and the water automatically shuts off to prevent waste during use,” Nachreiner explained.
Patoka Pines provides a range of stay options, including daily, weekly, and monthly rates. The campground also offers convenient access to essential camping supplies. “There is a convenience store next door with all the necessities for camping, including fuel and camper products,” Nachreiner told Modern Campground.
Another notable feature of the campground is its pet-friendly design. Amenities for pets include provided waste bags and a planned pet area. An additional fee of $10 per pet is charged for the duration of the stay.
According to Nachreiner, plans for Patoka Pines include building a dog park and a shelter house to accommodate larger party cookouts.
Beyond its amenities, the campground is located near popular areas. French Lick, known for its scenic attractions, offers numerous activities for campers. The French Lick-West Baden area is a destination for exploring Southern Indiana’s offerings. Guests at Patoka Pines can enjoy boating on Patoka Lake and hiking in the Hoosier National Forest.
Wilstem Wildlife Park, located nearby, allows visitors to get up close to exotic animals, adding a unique experience to their stay. Exploring caves to the east or taking in the architecture of a beautiful monastery to the south offers additional day-trip opportunities for campers.
