Glamping Business Connections, an online directory and community for the glamping industry, announced a partnership with Care Camps Foundation to support children with cancer through medically supervised camp experiences. The collaboration aims to leverage the glamping industry’s reach to raise awareness and financial support for the foundation’s mission.
Care Camps Foundation allows children battling cancer to attend specialized camps to experience outdoor activities in a medically safe environment. Glamping Business Connections will assist in fundraising, sponsorships, and awareness initiatives to further the foundation’s impact.
“As a former pediatric RN, I have seen firsthand the challenges children with cancer endure. At Glamping Business Connections, we believe in the transformative power of nature and community,” said Rebecca May, founder of Glamping Business Connections.
“Care Camps Foundation aligns perfectly with our values, ensuring that children facing the unimaginable challenges of cancer have the opportunity to escape, explore, and experience the magic of the outdoors. We are honored to support their mission,” May added.
The initiative connects the luxury outdoor hospitality sector with a cause dedicated to improving the lives of young cancer patients. Through its network of industry partners, Glamping Business Connections plans to amplify Care Camps Foundation’s message and encourage glamping businesses to contribute to the effort.
Gwynn Sullivan, MSN, executive director of Care Camps Foundation, emphasized the significance of the partnership. “We are thrilled to partner with Glamping Business Connections to bring more awareness to our mission,” Sullivan said.
“Just as glamping offers an incredible way to experience the outdoors, the camps we fund offer these special children a respite from the hardships of cancer in a safe and fun-filled outdoor environment. We are especially grateful to members of Glamping Business Connections for joining our cause,” Sullivan noted.
By engaging with the glamping industry, Care Camps Foundation aims to expand its reach and secure additional resources to support its network of pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada.
In 2024, the foundation funded 117 camps, serving more than 41,000 children and family members.
